Rowen Legacy

Rowen was a happy and healthy 4 year old little boy until he was suddenly diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in June 2024. Our family began treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital as this was our best shot at remission and the closest proton beam center. As a large family of seven, we struggled to find housing — spending over 12 weeks in a hotel due to waitlists and state occupancy limits. The financial and emotional toll was overwhelming as we tried to focus on Rowen’s treatment. We even sold our home in Maine to stay afloat.

Despite it all, Rowen faced every challenge with a smile. He completed six weeks of proton radiation and five cycles of chemotherapy with strength and courage beyond his years. In March 2025, Rowen passed away unexpectedly from complications related to treatment.

Out of our heartbreak, Rowen’s Legacy was born a nonprofit created to help other families facing childhood cancer.

Rowen’s Legacy was created in honor of our beautiful, brave son, Rowen, who passed away at just four years old after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Though his time with us was far too short, Rowen's strength, spirit, and love have inspired a mission that continues to touch the lives of families facing the unimaginable.

Our nonprofit exists to support families who have young warriors currently battling childhood cancer. We understand firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll that comes with a diagnosis — and we know that when your child is fighting for their life, nothing else should matter.

Through generous donations, Rowen’s Legacy provides practical support to families in the thick of the fight. We help cover essential needs like short-term housing near treatment centers, gift cards for meals and groceries, and even monthly bill payments. These resources allow parents to step away from work and daily stressors so they can be fully present with their child during treatment.

Rowen’s light continues to shine through every act of kindness and every family we’re able to help. His legacy is one of love, compassion, and hope — and with your support, we can continue to carry it forward, one family at a time.

Because no parent should have to fight cancer alone.
